About the Role

The new Director of Primary Standards at West Norfolk Academies Trust (WNAT) will be working with seven schools to ensure the highest standards of academic attainment and progress within the Trust’s primary schools.

You will be an integral part of WNAT, and you will be up to date on issues facing primary education  and will drive our primary improvement strategy.

You will be inspiring and motivational, tasked to challenge our primary leaders to achieve the highest quality academic outcomes through excellent teaching and learning.

Through working with individual schools to identify key areas of strength and areas for improvement you will help them to develop their individual strategic plan and ensure effective implementation. You will ensure that regular review is undertaken by Local Governing Bodies.

A key element of the role is the accountability to the Trustees and Local Governors. You will be expected to monitor and evaluate the performance of each of the primary schools and produce timely and accurate reports regarding performance information, as well as giving Trustees a clear understanding of key risks within each primary school.

Each school needs to be Ofsted ready, and you will work with schools to ensure they are fully prepared for a successful inspection.

You will be expected to have excellent communication skills and to be able to communicate with key stakeholders both within the Trust and external bodies, such as Ofsted and RSC.

The Trust is collaborative in nature and you will develop and promote productive working practices across the primary schools as well as contributing to the smooth transitioning of students from primary to secondary.
